COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina sand volleyball team is ranked No. 20 in the DiG Magazine Collegiate Sand Volleyball Poll released Monday.

The Gamecocks earned the program’s first ranking after going 2-0 in dual play over the weekend at the Carolina Classic. Carolina opened the season with a 4-1 win over Mercer and closed out the weekend with a 3-2 victory over ULM, the No. 20 team in the DiG Magazine Preseason Poll.

Carolina returns to action on Tuesday at UAB. First serve is set for 12 p.m. ET in Birmingham, Ala. The Gamecocks will then head to Atlanta, Ga., for duals with Mercer, New Orleans and Georgia State on Wednesday.
