COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina’s second-ranked equestrian team wraps up its SEC schedule on Saturday, when the Gamecocks host No. 4 Auburn at One Wood Farm in Blythewood. Saturday’s meet begins at 10 a.m. ET, and admission is free. Before the start of the meet, South Carolina will recognize its nine seniors in a Senior Day ceremony.
“We’ve had a hard week of practice to try and get ready for a tough Auburn team on Saturday,” South Carolina head coach Boo Major said. “We got it handed to us at Texas A&M last week and that didn’t sit well with any of us. I think we’ve all done a little soul searching over the last week because we did not give one-hundred percent last week in any way, shape or form. The girls’ attitudes have been great and I think we’re seeing the effort and dedication out of everybody that we didn’t have last week. It’s Senior Day for us and I know it would mean a lot to our seniors to win on Saturday, but in order to do that, we need to come out ready to go and fight for every point.”
