COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s basketball team held an open practice on Friday night at the practice facility in front of a great fan turnout for the event. The squad held the scrimmage in advance of its Oct. 26 exhibition contest against Benedict College.
The team was split into groups and scrimmaged in four, five-minute segments, with the players switching lineups throughout. The team impressed the crowd with several dunks and defensive hustle plays in the 20 minutes. Third-year head coach Frank Martin addressed the crowd at the conclusion, and players thanked the many fans for attending.
South Carolina continues preseason next Monday with an afternoon practice session on campus. The exhibition versus Benedict will tip at 4 p.m. ET, and admission is free.
