The three members of South Carolina’s second-ranked recruiting class who are already on campus met with local media Wednesday afternoon at Colonial Life Arena to discuss their transition from high school to college both on the court and off. For local products Kaydra Duckett and A’ja Wilson, it was reconnecting with the hometown media from a different perspective, while Charlotte’s Jatarie White got her first chance to meet the reporters who will cover her four seasons in the Garnet and Black.

The student-athletes moved through three stations meeting individually with nine different media outlets for 10 minutes each. The group then gathered to answer fan questions submitted via the team’s Twitter account @GamecockWBB. All talked about their choice to become a Gamecock and how they hope to impact the team this season. Expectations were a hot topic, but one the trio did not shy away from, taking the lead of head coach Dawn Staley in setting the bar high for 2014-15 and beyond.

The remaining two members of the signing class – Doniyah Cliney and Bianca Cuevas – are scheduled to arrive on campus in July.
