South Carolina women’s basketball is thriving, and Gamecock Nation is taking notice. Ranking 10th in the nation last season in average attendance at 6,371, the Gamecocks played in front of over 11,500 fans in each of their last two home games. They clinched the program’s first SEC regular-season title in those two outings, and the student-athletes fully understand and appreciate the connection between the volume in Colonial Life Arena and their success on the court.
