UPDATE: The Gamecocks defeated Oregon State 78-69 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament. The No. 1 seed Gamecocks will face No. 4 seed North Carolina on Sunday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 at Stanford.

As the South Carolina women’s basketball team heads to Seattle to open play in the NCAA Tournament, we are encouraging Gamecock fans to join the team’s “virtual cheering section” by showing their support for the team in social media. Fans are encouraged to post a picture of themselves with our tournament graphic (link to download: http://bit.ly/BeTheChange64) to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with hashtag #BeTheChange64.
As the Gamecocks advance in the tournament, the graphic and hashtag will update with the new total number of teams in the tournament and this page will be updated with the new hashtag and new graphic to download.
How to Participate:
-Print our tournament graphic (click here to open print-quality graphic)
-Post a photo of yourself with the printed graphic on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram with hashtag #BeTheChange64. Feel free to be creative and fun with your photo.
-We’ll collect the photos for a gallery on Facebook and this page. There might even be a prize for whoever submits the most creative photo!
-Use hashtag #BeTheChange64 in social media this week to talk about the Gamecocks as the tournament begins and watch for the updated hashtag numbers as the tournament progresses.
-Make sure you’re following @GamecocksOnline and @GamecockWBB on Twitter.
No. 1 seed South Carolina opens play in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, March 23, at 5:30 p.m. ET in Seattle vs. No. 16 seed Cal State Northridge, airing live on ESPN.
