COLUMBIA, S.C. – After going 2-0-0 last weekend and upsetting No. 7 Duke 2-0, the South Carolina women’s soccer team has not only entered a pair of weekly polls, but both junior goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo and senior midfielder Elizabeth Sinclair have been named to teams of the week.

After starting the season unranked, the Gamecocks largest jump was to No. 11 in SoccerAmerica, while SoccerTimes had the Garnet & Black at No. 23. South Carolina is now receiving votes in the NSCAA/Continental Tire College Rankings, earning 41 votes to come in at No. 27.

D’Angelo’s back-to-back shutouts and seven total saves to open the season earned her a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week. Sinclair’s overall performance in the midfield on the weekend landed on CollegeSoccer360.com’s CS360 Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll.

The Gamecocks continue non-conference play when they travel to Boston University Friday for a 7:30 p.m. ET match. Visit GamecocksOnline.com throughout the week for match details.

Season tickets for women’s soccer, which includes admission to all home games, are currently on sale in the Gamecock Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets online at GamecocksOnline.com, or by calling 1-800-4SC-FANS. Cost for season tickets for men’s soccer is $25 for adults and $10 for youth (17 and under).
