GREER, S.C. — Former South Carolina All-American Mark Anderson claimed his first career Web.com Tour title on Sunday as a he cruised to a five-stroke victory at the BMW Charity Pro-Am at the Thornblade Club.

Anderson, a native of Beaufort, S.C., fired rounds of 63, 67, 63 and 65 for a tournament-record total of 259 (-27). He also set the 54-hole tournament scoring record on Saturday with a total of 194.

Anderson, a 2008 South Carolina graduate, was a two-time All-American (2005, 2008) for the Gamecocks. He was also named the SEC’s Freshman of the Year in 2005.
