Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s golf team heads to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. this weekend for the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate.

The Sawgrass Country Club will host the 15-team field on Monday, Feb. 17 and Tuesday, Feb. 18. Thirty-six holes will be played on Monday, followed by 18-holes on Tuesday. The Gamecocks are one of four Southeastern Conference schools competing in this year’s event.

Making up the five-man squad for South Carolina is Eirik Johansen, Alex Hamilton, West Streib, Michael Maness and Martin Rominger. Johansen currently leads the team with a low stroke average of 73.8 and three Top 10 finishes. This weekend’s lineup is the same lineup that placed sixth at the Tulane Invitational last week.
