COLUMBIA, S.C. — Senior Kimberly McCormack from the Gamecock equestrian team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

McCormack had a perfect two-for-two day against No. 5 Oklahoma State on Saturday, helping the lead the Gamecocks to a 13-7 season opening win over the Cowgirls.

In Equitation Over Fences, she posted the second-highest score of the event to defeat her Cowgirl opponent. She completed her perfect day later in the meet, as she scored an event-high 84 in Equitation on the Flat while being named Most Outstanding Player.

McCormack is currently the team leader in career wins (56), regular season wins (36), postseason wins (20), and Most Outstanding Player awards (16). She was named AgSouth Athlete of the Week during the 2010-2011 season, and was later voted AgSouth Female Athlete of the Year by Gamecock fans.
