COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina jumped two spots in the latest equestrian coaches poll and is now ranked second, it was announced today.

The Gamecocks picked up a 13-7 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday, allowing South Carolina to jump third-ranked Auburn in the poll, as the Tigers defeated the Cowgirls one day earlier by only a one-point margin.

South Carolina and Auburn will meet on Thursday at 2 p.m. in Blythewood, as both schools are competing in their first ever head-to-head SEC meet.

The collegiate coaches competing under the National Collegiate Equestrian Association umbrella initiated the national poll. The next poll will be released on October 17.
