The South Carolina women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season after they defeated the Oregon Ducks Thursday night 67-40.

The Gamecocks were once again led by their trio of Jocelyn Penn, Cristina Ciocan and Petra Ujhelyi. Penn nailed her first career three to close the game. Penn tallied 24 while Ciocan added 13. Ujhelyi scored her second straight double-double as she posted 16 points and brought down 13 rebounds.

Carolina raced to an early lead and went on to a 41-26 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Carolina defense allowed the second fewest points ever by an opponent in the second half as the Ducks could only score 14 second half points.
