Miami, FL – Robert Rosenberg scored on unassisted header from five yards away at the 106:46 mark to give South Carolina a 5-4 win over the Florida International Golden Panthers. USC ends the regular season with a record of 12-4-2.

It was a game of catch up all night long for the Golden Panthers who saw South Carolina jump out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Ryan Daley and Jordan Quinn. FIU cut the Gamecock lead in half when Asorey scored on a penalty kick at 27:52. The Golden Panthers tied the score on a Ben Tocco goal at 38:48.

Quinn put USC back on top at 62:00 on an unassisted goal after it had deflected off FIU goalkeeper Roy Rosenberg. Asorey tied the score again on a 25-yard shot that bounced over USC goalkeeper, Michael Bachmeyer, at 77:47.

USC kept up the offensive pressure with 27 shots on the night and took the lead again, 4-3, on an unassisted goal from short range by Chris Herron at 78:21. Asorey, scoring his third goal for the Golden Panthers, converted his second penalty kick of the evening at 79:58, forcing the match into overtime.

The Gamecocks await the NCAA Selection Show, airing Monday, Nov. 19 at 3:00 p.m. on Fox Sports South, to find out their post season play. USC looks to make its 15th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
