COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Gamecock equestrian team fell one spot in the latest coaches poll, it was announced today. South Carolina is now ranked seventh in the bi-monthy poll, voted on by the Varsity Equestrian head coaches.

South Carolina (6-9) was ranked sixth in the poll released March 15, and went 1-1 in competiton since then. On March 19, the Gamecocks beat New Mexico State, 10-6, before losing 10-8 to Georgia in the opening round of the 2011 Southern Equestrian Championships.

The Gamecocks return to action for the 2011 Varsity Equestrian National Championships, which will run April 14-16 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, TX.
