CHARLOTTE, N.C. – South Carolina’s Corrine Carr advanced to the match play round of the 2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur on Tuesday, making the cut by one stroke at Charlotte Country Club.
Carr posted rounds of 74-76=150 (+6) to tie for 55th place, one shot ahead of the cut line of 7-over par. The senior Gamecock completed her eligibility in May at the 2010 NCAA Championship and has had a successful summer that included a victory in the Carolinas Amateur Championship.
She is slated to face Alabama rising junior Brooke Pancake in her first-round match Wednesday, which is set for a 10:40 a.m. tee time. Live scoring can be followed through USGA.org.
