COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina equestrian team is ranked sixth in the latest Women’s Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll, it was announced Tuesday.
The Gamecocks remain in the No. 6 spot, no change from the final coaches poll of the fall semester.
The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Championship umbrella initiated the national poll.
The poll will be released bi-monthly with the next announcement scheduled for February 15, 2011.

The Gamecocks return to action on Saturday, February 5, when South Carolina hosts No. 3 Georgia at 1 p.m. at One Wood Farm in Blythewood. The equestrian team will be hosting its annual “Equi-Fest” on Saturday, a free day of games, activites, and and arts & crafts for kids in attendance.
