Played in four varsity events and both Garnet Team tournaments… Best varsity stroke play finish came at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, where an opening-round 69 was a season-best en route to a tie for 31st place at 69-75-73=217… Won two matches at Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship… Defeated Baylor[apos]s Matthew Seligmann, 3 & 2… Also took down Washington State[apos]s Branden Dalton, 5 & 3…Gamecocks won both of those team matches… Finished 52nd at Carpet Capital Collegiate… Season scoring average was 75.78…Limited by back injury during fall season.
2009-10
Competed in all 11 events as a redshirt freshman…Posted a scoring average of 75.06 in 31 rounds…Recorded one top-10 finish and three top-20 showings on the season…Tied for 10th place at the Mason Rudolph Invitational, shooting 68-71=139 (-3) in just his second collegiate tournament; his score ranked as the fifth-best 36-hole tournament total in school history…First-round 68 was a season-best…Posted back-to-back top-20 finishes in the first two events of the spring season…Shot 73-76=149 (+5) to tie for 18th at the Seahawk Intercollegiate…Tied for 16th at the Seminole Intercollegiate with scores of 73-72-73=218 (+5)…Had his career-low 54-hole tournament with a 73-69-72=214 (-2) at the Administaff Augusta State Invitational, rallying on the back nine on Sunday to get under par and tie for 28th place…Shot rounds of par or better five times during the season.

Earned five letters for coach Lewis Terry[apos]s Cavaliers … ranked fourth in the South Carolina Junior Heritage Points for the 2008 Class … was named a North-South All-Star (2008) … finished third in the 2008 TW Memorial, earning a spot on the event[apos]s all-tournament team for the second time (2006) … led team to Class AAAA state championship in 2007, earning all-state honors … was the individual medalist in the 2007 Region II-AAAA Championship and helped his team to the championship four times (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008) … earned all-region honors three seasons (2005, 2006, 2007) … named Spartanburg Herald Player of the Year (2007) … earned All-America honors from the National High School Golf Coaches Association in 2007 and was on the organization[apos]s Players of Achievement list in 2006 … won the South Carolina Junior Match Play Championship in 2006 … turned in top-10 finishes in the CGA Junior in 2006 and 2007 … finished fourth in the 2006 SCGA Junior Championship.
Personal
Parents are Wayne and Kimela Tolleson … father played nine seasons of Major League Baseball for the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees … older brother, Steven, played baseball at South Carolina (2003-05) and is currently in the Minnesota Twins minor league system … uncle Mike Tolleson and grandfather Jim Tolleson also played professional baseball … uncle Rick Cloninger won the Georgia Men[apos]s Amateur and Florida Men[apos]s Amateur and qualified for the 2008 Senior U.S. Open … majoring in business.
