- Made 11 appearances off the bench for the Gamecocks… did not log any points, but finished the season with six shots and two shots on target… a standout student, named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2017 (FRESHMAN)
- Played in all but one match in initial collegiate season, making three starts in 16 games played… was a key offensive spark off the bench and T-3rd on the team with seven points (3G, 1A)… finished the season with seven shots and four shots on goal… scored his first career goal after heading in a rebounded shot off the bar in the second half of the team’s 2-1 victory vs. Mercer (8/28)… tallied his first career assist vs. FAU (9/9)… scored late in the second half at Marshall (9/16)… recorded Carolina’s first goal just before halftime in the team’s 3-2 comeback win vs. Old Dominion (11/8) on Senior Day… named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and earned an Academic Medal for posting a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better… also earned a spot on the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

- Born April 12, 1999… son of Margaret Penland and Brendan Gilligan… member of the A/B Honor Roll all four years of high school… member of the National Beta Club… grew up a Gamecock fan and chose Carolina for its proximity to home… plans to major in business.
