The Trademark Licensing Office manages and protects the usage of the logos, wordmarks, and images that have come to be associated with the University of South Carolina.
Who needs to be licensed?
Anyone who desires to produce products with our logos, wordmarks, or images must be licensed with the University.
How to become licensed
The University of South Carolina is partnered with a licensing agency, Learfield IMG College Licensing, that handles all licensing requests. Please visit the Learfield IMG College Licensing website for more information and to start the licensing application process.
Crafter’s License Program
The Crafter’s License Program exists to allow local artisans an avenue to express their support for the University of South Carolina through their creativity. Items produced under this license must be handmade, sold person to person, and unique to items currently produced by our fully licensed partners. Items cannot be sold at retail. Below are prohibited items under this license.
- Apparel
- Drinkware
- Machine Embroidery
- Decals
- Tailgate Games
- Consumables
- Other items on a case by case basis
Process: Submit all Crafter License requests to bridgemh@mailbox.sc.edu. In your request, please include what you intend to create with our logos/wordmarks along with pictures of the final product for review. Licenses expire on June 30 of each year. Renewal is subject to review.
