Columbia, S.C. – In the College Soccer Media Poll released earlier this week, the University of South Carolina is ranked No. 12. USC dropped two spots after falling to No. 7 North Carolina, 1-0, and defeating Elon, 5-1.

SMU remains on top of the leader board for the 13th-consecutive week. Atlantic Coast Conference power Virginia is second, followed by Stanford, Saint Louis and St. John’s.

The Gamecocks head to Miami, Fla. to play their final regular season match on Saturday, Nov. 17 against the Florida International Golden Panthers. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. South Carolina and FIU have met twice with USC winning last year’s match, 2-0. Their first meeting in 1987 resulted in a 1-1 tie.
