The South Carolina Cross Country squad is competing in the Furman Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Furman University. The 6,000 meter race will begin at 2:00 p.m.

The Gamecocks have already won two tournaments this year with freshman Jenny Lake leading the team. Lake won the Clemson Cross-Country Invitational and placed 44th in the Great American Cross-Country Festival.South Carolina looks to improve on their performance last year, where they placed 13th out of a competitive 32-team field.

Competing for the Gamecocks will be Nicole Behrns, Nikki Campbell, Criston Dailey, Kinsey Eschenburg, Jenny Lake, Rachel Smith, Abby Sox, Mary Utsey, and Mary Wright.
