Columbia, S. C. – Gamecocks Nash Elliot and Jake Thompson are currently tied for seventh place after two rounds of the South Carolina State Championships in Hilton Head, S. C. Elliot (68-78) and Thompson (70-76) both struggled in round two shooting 78, 76. Elliot led the field after round one.

Other University of South Carolina golfers competing in the state amateur are Scott Feaster, who stands in the 19th place after firing 150 and Alex Hamilton who posted a two-day score of 158.

Round three of the four-day tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.
