Columbia, S.C. – With wins over New Hampshire and No. 10 Washington in last weekend’s Gamecock Soccer Classic, the University of South Carolina men’s soccer team (6-0-0) moved up two spots to third in the Soccer Times poll released today.
Stanford remains in the number one spot, followed by UCLA. The Gamecocks, which have remained undefeated after six matches, have posted more wins than any other team in the Top 25.
South Carolina handed both New Hampshire and Washington their first loss of the season after shutting out the Wildcats 1-0, and downing the Huskies 3-1. The Gamecocks were crowned 2002 Gamecock Soccer Classic Champions.
The College Soccer News and NSCAA/adidas polls ranked the Gamecocks fourth.
