Columbia, S.C. – Led 13 kills off the hand of Niece Curry and 6 aces by Megan Hosp, South Carolina (9-3, 2-0 SEC) easily swept Auburn (1-12, 0-1 SEC) 3-0 tonight at the Volleyball Competition Facility. Carolina hit a season high .500 as a team tonight, holding Auburn to .061.

542 fans watched as seniors Hosp and Cally Plummer combined for 11 of the team’s 15 aces. Plummer’s five aces leave her nine aces away from setting the school record for aces in a career. “I was very pleased with our serving,” said South Carolina Head Coach Kim Christopher. “We served very aggressively. We were led by Megan Hosp, who had a great match serving. We were able to get production out of everyone tonight. It was exciting to see Amy Pratt and Nicole Miller come in and play well in game three.”
