Sept. 27, 2002
On Monday, September 16th, the Mens Golf Team, in conjunction with Christ Central Ministries, continued its monthly Foot Clinic.
At least 50 people were treated and provided socks. Shoes were issued to those in need, as well as new work boots were ordered and purchased. Mens Golf Team members West Streib and Matt Giffin along with Head Coach Puggy Blackmon and Assistant Coach Rachel Bates conducted the clinic. Dr. Jason Yoder and Dr. Jud Heldreth, of Palmetto Chiropractic, were available for medical attention to feet, as well as Dayna Britt lending her assistance.
This past year on a monthly basis totaling over 300 of Columbias homeless have been treated and provided socks and shoes through The Next Step.
We continue to be grateful to many USC Coaches and Staff for donating used and new shoes. Also, many thanks to Rod Walters his staff for donating their time of continued medical attention and involvement!
Thanks also go to Palmetto Chiropractic Center of Lexington for donating their time and treatment, as well as, Shandon Baptist Churchs Disciple Sunday School Class for their financial help.
