Martin Rominger, a member of the South Carolina Men’s Golf Team, will represent his home country, Switzerland, in the World Amateur Golf Team Championships held at Saujana Golf and Country Club in Saujana, Malaysia.

The tournament includes 64 national teams who will compete for the Eisenhower Trophy, a prestigious award given to the top amateur team in the world. The international teams will compete Oct. 24-27.

Rominger, from Pontresine, Switzerland, is currently competing in his second year for the Gamecocks. As a freshman Rominger was named to the 2002 All-SEC team.
