Columbia, S.C. – After six weeks of competition, the South Carolina men’s soccer team (7-2-1) continues to be a national-caliber team. The Gamecocks are ranked ninth in both the Soccer Times and College Soccer News polls released today. USC was also ranked 11th in Soccer America and 13th in the NSCAA/adidas poll.
St. John’s landed the number one spot for the second week-in-a-row, in three polls. The NSCAA/adidas poll handed Stanford the top position.
The Gamecocks travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., on Friday, Oct. 11 to take on the No. 3 Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
