Columbia, S.C. – The 18th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks (19-4, 12-1 SEC) take to the road for the remainder of the regular season and travel to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Lady Volunteers on Friday. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Stokely Athletics Center. Tennessee (17-8, 6-6 SEC) fell to the Gamecocks 2-3 in Columbia earlier in the season.

The Gamecocks lead the series against the Lady Vols 20-17 and are 8-2 against Tennessee in Knoxville. Last year, USC went 2-1 including a 3-2 victory over the Lady Vols in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee is coming off a two-match losing streak, falling to Georgia and Florida last weekend.

Head coach Kim Christopher is just one win away from claiming her 200th victory at Carolina. In her tenth season and with a 199-97 record at Carolina, the Amarillo, Texas native will become the first coach to reach this mark in Carolina volleyball history.

The Gamecocks are also pushing for their best SEC record in program history. The most wins Carolina has ever recorded in SEC play is 12, back in 2000. USC is currently 12-1 and still has three more matches left in the regular season.
