Columbia, S.C. –

On the eve of their game at No. 22 Mississippi State, the Gamecock basketball team held a spirited 1:45 minute practice Wednesday. USC’s game against the Bulldogs will have an 8:07 pm (Eastern) tip-off at Mississippi State.

Senior center Tony Kitchings, bothered a bit by foot problems, practice full court today and did not seem to be effected. He will be ready to go tomorrow in Starkville. “Tony’s fine,” said USC Head Coach Dave Odom.

“We have had two very good days of practice – I am very pleased with our efforts,” said Odom. “We are not quite ready yet, but we will have an hour long shoot-around tomorrow in Starkville that will help. There was lots of intensity out there today. I am pleased with our efforts.”
