Who were you named after?
My father. So I am a Junior.
Why do people call you T?
So people do not pronounce my name wrong. I’ve heard it all but it’s pronounced TAR-ence.
Has your freshman year been an easy adjustment?
No, it has been hard. Last year I was doing
very well. And now I’ve gone to playing in the shadow, trying to get on the court. When I do get on the courtm, it seem like everything is moving faster and it is hard adjusting to that.
Were you surprised at the games pace in college?
Very surprised. I had no idea the game moved this fast. I had always heard the game moves faster than it did in high school, but I guess I was too arrogant to believe it.
What advice would you pass on to high school seniors?
Be ready or get ready, one of the two, because it is hard.
Has it been a good experience for you playing as a freshman?
Yes, I think so. It has helped prepare me for next season. I know now what I need to do in the off season to get myself ready for next season.
What has been your bright spot so far?
The Kentucky game when I reached double figures with 10 points.
There are 3 freshman here this year. Are you guys close?
Yeah we are all roommates so we are pretty close. But none of us can cook. I might make some mac and cheese if I did cook, but that’s about all I know how to make.
Why are you looking forward to today’s game against Tennessee?
Because I feel we could have won the last time we played them and we are starting to get on a roll.
Do you respect Tennessee?
A lot but I don’t fear them.
