South Carolina’s 18th-ranked men’s tennis team will renew its intrastate rivalry with Clemson in a 2 p.m. match on Wednesday, March 26, at the Sam Daniel Tennis Center. The Gamecocks enter the match with a 12-2 overall record while the Tigers bring a No. 32 ranking and 16-5 mark to Columbia.

USC looks to extend the school’s longest active winning streak against Clemson, eight games dating to 1995. Carolina won last year’s match with a 7-0 blanking of the Tigers at Belton, S.C. The Gamecocks own a 38-30 advantage in the all-time series, including triumphs in nine of the last ten meetings, and are 22-12 in matches in Columbia. USC is 12-2 against Clemson under head coach Kent DeMars.

The Gamecocks have won all seven of their home matches this season and are coming off a 4-2 victory at No. 39 North Carolina last Thursday in Chapel Hill. USC sits at 3-2 in SEC action and will return to their conference slate this weekend with matches at No. 23 Auburn on Friday and No. 15 Alabama on Sunday.
