Columbia, S.C. -The University of South Carolina Gamecocks and the Charlotte 49ers played to a scoreless draw on Wednesday evening at Eugene Stone Stadium in Columbia, popularly known as “The Graveyard”.

“This game was fiercely contested by both teams. It was a good test for us as we continue to move through the spring. We created some good chances, and defended well, but we didn’t convert. Freshmen Josh Alcala in back and Eric Szeszycki in midfield were outstanding on the night.”

The Gamecocks travel next to the Mountain State Invitational in West Virginia where they will play Michigan on Saturday, April 5 at 3:10 p.m. and University of Virginia on Sunday, April 6 at 10:40 a.m.
