CAROLINA’S EIDSON’S TEAM ADVANCES AT PORTSMOUTH INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT

Columbia, SC – South Carolina senior Chuck Eidson scored four points in his team’s opening round victory at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament last night in Portsmouth, Virginia. The 51st Annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, the nation’s oldest amateur basketball tournament, is recognized by NBA and European scouts as the premier showcase for hot prospects.

Eidson scored point points, including going 2-2 from the free throw line. He also added four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 22 minutes. His team, the Holiday Inn, defeated Maryland Designs 91-79.

The tournament continues through tomorrow.
