Columbia, S.C. – The USC women’s track team regained the top ranking in this week’s Trackwire national rankings, after spending last week at No. 2. Carolina also topped the poll’s first outdoor ranking on April 8.

Lashinda Demus holds the No. 1 women’s ranking in both the 400m dash and the 400m hurdles for the third consecutive week. In all, 16 positions in the women’s “Dandy Dozen” rankings are held by USC, including both the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams at the No. 2 spot. Antoinette Wilks is ranked second in the long jump, up one spot from last week’s ranking.

The men’s team is ranked No. 8 and holds two No. 2 rankings, Kenneth Ferguson in the 400m hurdles and the 4×400 relay team.

USC returns to action on Thursday, April 24 for three days of competition at the prestigious Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. The women’s 4×400 relay team is seeking its fourth consecutive event title.
