Seth Rose opens play in the NCAA Singles Championship field of 64 on Wednesday, May 21 in Athens, Ga. The senior will compete from the Mideast Region and the tournament draw will be announced on Tuesday. This is the second-straight year at the NCAA Individual Championships for Rose. Last season, he fell in a three-set decision to Lance Mills of Nebraska in the round of 64.

Rose, a senior, earned 2003 All-SEC honors as a second-team selection. Rose earned accolades for the second consecutive season after posting 13 dual match victories and combining for 13 doubles wins during his final campaign. He was also a second-team selection during his junior season in 2002.

Currently ranked No. 48 in the nation, Rose has 11wins at No. 1 singles this season. The senior defeated ranked players in consecutive matches during the weekend of March 28-30, No. 17 Rameez Junaid of Auburn and No. 75 Maxim Belski of Alabama. He also defeated Jesse Witten of Kentucky on March 16, who was ranked No. 11 at the time, and No. 49 David Loewenthal of Wake Forest on April 9.

Rose has compiled an 11-9 record at the No. 1 position in dual matches this season and has 13 total dual victories, including four SEC wins while combining for 13 doubles triumphs. In 2000, Rose was the ITA Region II Rookie of the Year after posting an 18-11 record and an 8-2 SEC mark. He has 68 career victories at USC.
