University of South Carolina seniors Adrienne Gautreaux and Marci Robinson were among the 10 women selected to join the 2003 NCAA All-Star Golf Team in its Tour of the Orient during the months of June and July.

The 10 women left from Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 24th on its way to a month-long tour of Korea, Thailand, Japan and Hong Kong. Robinson and Gautreaux are the only SEC golfers invited to participate. The U.S. team will compete in a series of pro-am type corporate outings as well as competitive matches against the all-star teams of the countries visited. For the past 21 years, the best women collegiate amateur golfers have visited the Orient for the purpose of good will between the East and West.

Gautreaux, a rising senior from Mabank, Texas, was also selected to represent the University of South Carolina in the eventh annual NCAA Leadership Conference at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida from May 25-29th. Gautreaux finished second in stroke average on the 2002-03 South Carolina golf team at 76.50. She recorded one top five finish and five top 20 finishes during the 2002-03 season.

Robinson, a rising senior from Columbia, South Carolina, is one of three seniors on next year’s Gamecock squad. Last year, Robinson captured the City of Columbia championship in 2002 after helping lead USC to the SEC Championship.

28 JUN DAY 06 SAT: TONG YANG MOOLSAN/YUE SONG Tournament. Evening Awards Party and Karaoke.

29 JUN DAY 07 SUN: Return to Seoul. Sightseeing, shopping, leisure.

30 JUN DAY 08 MON: HANSOL/KLPGA Tournament. Dinner at Grace Park’s Family Restaurant, Suwon Gardens.

01 JUL DAY 09 TUE: Depart Seoul, Arrive Bangkok, Thailand.

16 JUL DAY 24 WED: U.S. NAVY Change of Command Tournament, Whispering Pines G.C.. Evening Farewell Party.
