After a two and a half hour rain delay play has resumed at the 2003 Wachovia South Carolina Closed Junior Hardcourt Championships. Players returned to the court at 4 p.m.

In early action, Josh Klingenberg of Summerville defeated second-seeded Jordan Poznick 6-3, 6-0 to move on to the round of 16 in the Boys’ 12 tournament. Klingenberg will face Don Bruner who was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over William Reynolds. Top-seeded Bobby Browning also advanced with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Mo Hookaylo. Browning will face Florian Hanke, who was also a winner in straight sets, in the round of 16.
