Columbia, SC – The USC men’s tennis team released their 2003-04 schedule on Thursday morning. The fall schedule will consist of four tournaments while USC will play in two tournaments and compete in 20 dual matches during the spring.

South Carolina’s fall schedule will consist of tournaments in Athens, and Atlanta, GA and the ITA Regional Championship held in Chapel Hill, NC. The Gamecocks will host the USC Fall Invitational on October 17-19 on the USC campus.

USC will open dual match play on January 15-19 in Athens, GA where they will compete in the SEC Indoor Championships. Two weeks later, USC will host the USC Winter Invitational on January 30 and February 1.

The Gamecocks then will open the season on February 14 against Charlotte and Davidson at home. USC will then go on to host nine more matches after the opener on the 14th while making nine road trips on the season. The 2004 campaign features another tough schedule for Coach Kent DeMars and the Gamecocks as they will face 2003 NCAA runner-up Vanderbilt and 2002 NCAA Champion Georgia on the road.

The regular season will conclude with a trip to Gainesville on April 11. USC will then travel to Nashville, TN for the 2004 SEC Men’s Tennis Tournament. The NCAA Regional Championships will be held from May 7-9 and the National Championships will be held from May 19-23 in Tulsa, Ok. The Gamecocks finished the 2003 season with a (17-8) record and ranked 20th in the nation.
