COLUMBIA, S.C. – USC golfer Alex Hamilton qualified Tuesday for match play at the U.S. Amateur Championship held at the Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. Hamilton, a native of Aiken, S.C., finished the two rounds of stroke play with a two-over-par 142 (73-69).

Hamilton enters the match play tournament as the 12th seed and is scheduled to tee-off Wednesday at 12:20 p.m. EDT. ESPN will air coverage of the 103rd U.S. Amateur Championship from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday. Following two rounds of stroke play the field of 312 was cut to the low 64 scorers who advanced to match play. The championship runs through Sunday.
