Columbia, S.C. – The University of South Carolina men’s soccer team will host the Stetson Hatters Monday, Sept. 1 at 2:00 p.m. The Labor Day matchup is the first meeting between the two teams and will be broadcasted live on the internet at www.uscsports.com.

The Hatters will open the season at Eugene E. Stone III Stadium while South Carolina enters the game with a record of 1-0-0. Last season Stetson finished fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference with a record of 9-10-1.

The Gamecocks have the highest winning percentage against the teams in the Atlantic Sun Conference with a record of 27-1-1 (.948). The only loss in the Atlantic Sun Conference was against Georgia State in 1978.

Monday’s match is Family Day – kids get in free with a paying adult and the first 100 fans will receive a Carolina pen. There will also be an autograph session following the Gamecocks-Hatters match. Gamecock players and coaches will be available for autographs.
