Columbia, S.C. – After opening the first weekend of the 2003 season with a record of 2-0-0, the South Carolina men’s soccer team moves into the Top 25 in both the NSCAA/adidas and Soccer Times Polls. The Gamecocks are ranked 22nd in the NSCAA/adidas poll, while Soccer Times places them 23rd.
South Carolina opened the season at home with a 4-1 victory over Boston University on Friday, Aug. 29. In a Labor Day matinee, USC shutout the Stetson Hatters 2-0.
The Gamecocks return to action this weekend at the Aaron Olitsky Classic in Charleston, S.C. where they will take on Richmond and Northwestern. South Carolina will face Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 and Northwestern on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 1:00 p.m.
