Columbia, S.C. – The eighth-ranked University of South Carolina men’s soccer team returns home this weekend to host the Gamecock Soccer Classic on Friday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 14. South Carolina will face Jacksonville Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Alabama A&M on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Both matches will be broadcasted live on the internet at www.uscsports.com

South Carolina leads the series between the Gamecocks and Dolphins, 9-0-0. The last meeting between the two teams was last year where USC won 2-1.

This is the fourth meeting between the Gamecocks and Bulldogs. Alabama A&M leads the series 2-1-0. South Carolina won the last meeting between the two teams, 1-0, back in 1985.

College of Charleston is the fourth team that will be competing in the Gamecock Soccer Classic. The Cougars and Gamecocks will not face each other in this tournament.
