Columbia, S.C. – Riding a three-game winning streak, the South Carolina women’s soccer team heads back on the road this weekend for the UGA/Nike Tournament in Athens, Ga. in which the Gamecocks will face Georgia Southern and Liberty. Carolina faces Georgia Southern (3-4) on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. and closes the weekend out vs. Liberty (1-6-1) on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. USC is 5-3-1 and ranked ninth in the Southeast Region.

“We have to finish off our preparations for SEC play this weekend,” said USC head coach Shelley Smith. “Our team has done well to be more consistent. Hopefully we can continue to do that and we would like to come away with two more wins before Auburn comes to town next week.”
