Orange Beach, Ala. – Three members of the USC Women’s Soccer team were honored on Wednesday evening with SEC accolades at the SEC Tournament Banquet. Junior defender Sarah Lentz earned second team All-SEC honors and freshmen M.A. Foster and Shelly Hoddeson were named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.

A native of Florence, S.C., Lentz has led from the back on both the offensive and defensive side. Lentz has two goals and four assists on the year for eight points, tied for the third highest total on the team. Both goals by Lentz have also been game-winners. In addition, Lentz is a part of the defensive four that has allowed less than one goal per match.

In just their first seasons wearing the garnet and black, Foster and Hoddeson have sparked up top as part of the Gamecock offense. Foster leads the squad in points with 12 (four goals, four assists) and Hoddeson is right behind her with five goals and one assist (11 points). The Gamecocks return to action on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET in the first match of the SEC Tournament against Tennessee. Live broadcast for the game vs. the Lady Volunteers will be available at USCSPORTS.COM.
