COLUMBIA, S.C. – Opening up their a tough 2004 slate, the Gamecock men’s tennis team will square off against the College of Charleston at 11 a.m. and UNC-Wilmington at 3 p.m. Led by seniors Marcus Westman and Carl Wermee, the Gamecocks currently are ranked 23rd in the polls.

Facing a daunting 2004 schedule, three of the Gamecocks 2004 opponents are ranked in the top ten with 12 opponents ranked nationally in the top 40. Competing in the Southeastern Conference, one of the toughest conferences in the nation, all 12 teams are ranked in the top 55.
