-The win tonight was South Carolina’s first SEC regular season victory since defeating Mississippi in the final game of the 2002-03 season 91-68 in Oxford, Miss.
-USC held Alabama to 31.7% shooting from the field, which is the lowest of the year.
-Alabama’s 51 points is the lowest by an SEC opponent this year. The previous low was 61 by Florida (1/22/04).
-Iva Sliskovic recorded the fourth double-double of her career with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Her last double-double came against Charlotte (12/14/03).
-This was South Carolina’s first game with five double figure scorers since Southern Utah (12/5/03). Alabama (1/11/04) was the last conference game that the Gamecocks had at least four players in double figures.
-Sliskovic tied her career high with 14 field goals attempted.
-The 26-point victory was the largest margin of victory in an SEC game since defeating Auburn 87-60 on 1/7/01.
-USC out rebounded Alabama 43-37. This marks the first time USC has out rebounded an SEC opponent since Tennessee (1/15/04).
