Orlando, Fla. – University of South Carolina senior swimmer Istvan Bathazi will compete tonight in the finals of the 400 individual medley at the 2004 ConocoPhillips US National Championships in Orlando, Fla. Bathazi, a two-time honorable mention All-American at Carolina, finished seventh in the 400 meter individual medley with a time of 4:27.95.

The finals of the 400 IM are scheduled for approximately 6:47 p.m. ET. Bathazi has twice competed in the Olympics as a member of the Hungarian National Team and was the 2000 European Champion in this event.
