Athens, Ga. – South Carolina junior diver Andy Bradley placed second in the one-meter board competition at the 2004 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga. Bradley finished with a score of 703.70 and is now the third diver from South Carolina to qualify for the NCAA Championships. On Friday afternoon, USC women’s divers Allison Brennan and Lauren King qualified with third and fourth place finishes respectively on the one-meter board. Holly Hodges placed fifth on the one-meter yesterday and is close to earning a berth as well to the NCAA Championships.

Also competing for South Carolina was junior Dean Emmerton and sophomore Ian Balman. Emmerton took 23rd place (257.70) and Balman finished at 32nd place (233.15). The previous day, Emmerton was 15th on the three-meter board with a score of 507.65.

The South Carolina women’s divers will conclude competition this afternoon at 3:45 p.m. on the three-meter board. Brennan, King, Hodges and freshman Lyndsey Havens will compete for South Carolina.
