Columbia, S.C. – The USC women’s soccer team held its annual Alumni Game on Saturday, April 17 with 14 former Gamecock players back on campus to face the current Carolina squad. South Carolina defeated the Alumni 1-0 on a goal from Jackie Welch.

“The Alumni Game is a great way to bring back players who have been a part of this program,” said USC head coach Shelley Smith. “We enjoy having them in Columbia and interacting with our current team. It’s a good opportunity to bring both current and past players together and it gives the Alumni a chance to see where we are at and what we hope to accomplish as a program.”
