Lexington’s Chris Peek was crowned champion in the Boys’ 18 Singles tournament after defeating Darlington’s Alan Howle 6-7 (5), 6-2, 7-5. Howle earned a championship yesterday in the Boys’ 18 Doubles tournament by teaming with Ben McFarland on Sunday to defeat the duo of Jordan Gandy and Drennan Josey 8-3.

In the Boys’ 10 Singles tournament, Joseph Tiller and Payne Hoy advanced to the finals by winning their semifinal matches today. Tiller, the top-seed from Camden defeated Wilson Daniel 6-0, 6-1. Hoy, the second-seed, completed tomorrow’s finals matchup by defeating Jacob Behal 7-5, 6-3. The championship match will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the USC Indoor Tennis Courts.

In the Girls’ 16 Singles tournament, Haley Baird, of Columbia, advanced to the finals by defeating Elizabeth Appleby 6-1, 6-2. Baird will face Pawleys Island native Allison Stanford. Stanford defeated Carly Moss 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 in a thrilling battle to advance.

Lauren Trumbell and Maria Hesketh will take to the courts tomorrow to decide the champion of the Girls’ 12 Singles tournament. Trumbell was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Shauna Williams of Columbia. Hesketh, of Simpsonville, was a decisive 6-1, 6-3 winner over Stephanie Cox of Myrtle Beach.
